Trails to Choose – How to Get to Hala Gąsienicowa?

Both trails start at Kuźnice (around 1000 m above sea level), which is easily accessible from Zakopane by bus in just a few minutes. Here are the two main options:

Through Boczań and Skupinów Upłaz (blue trail)

  • Duration: About 1.5 hours
  • Characteristics: A steadily ascending route, initially through the forest, then through open areas with views of Kopieniec Wielki and Giewont. A very picturesque section through Skupinów Upłaz.

Through Dolina Jaworzynka (yellow trail)

  • Duration: About 1.5 hours
  • Characteristics: A gentler start through Polana Jaworzynka, with beautiful views of shepherd’s huts and fantastical rock formations. The final section requires a bit more effort.

Przełęcz Między Kopami – A Magical Meeting Point

Both trails converge at Przełęcz Między Kopami (1,499 m above sea level), from where it’s just a 30-minute walk to the destination. The view from the pass opens up a breathtaking panorama, including Świnica, Granaty, and Kościelec – a stunning preview of Hala Gąsienicowa.
