A Journey Among Mountain Peaks
Our hike begins at Kończysty Wierch (2002 m), which can be accessed in several ways, including from Dolina Chochołowska via Trzydniowiański Wierch or a longer loop through Wołowiec and Jarząbczy Wierch. From here, we head toward Starorobociański Wierch (2176 m), the highest point of the journey.
The ascent to Starorobociański Wierch is relatively easy compared to other higher mountain routes. The final 200 meters of elevation is a short but somewhat tiring climb. Once at the summit, we are greeted with breathtaking panoramas that include not only the Western Tatras but also the distant High Tatras, with the iconic Krywań looming in the background. It’s a perfect place to stop and enjoy the view!

A Thrill Along the Ridge
The descent from Starorobociański Wierch to Siwa Przełęcz (1812 m) is the most difficult part of the trail. Although the upper section remains safe, the lower part leads us along a steep edge, close to a precipice. This section adds a rush of adrenaline, and the exposure to steep slopes will give hikers a thrill. The loose ground in some areas demands extra caution, especially when descending.
After about 30 minutes, we reach Gaborowa Przełęcz, where we can admire the stunning view of Gaborowa Valley. On the Slovak side, the valley opens up into a vast grassy plain, framed by the towering mass of Bystra Mountain. The final section leads us towards Siwa Przełęcz, which connects to popular trails leading back to Dolina Chochołowska
